Dear MendMeShop,

I ordered an Achilles/Ankle “Inferno Wrap” and a Back/Hip “Inferno Wrap” which arrived within 48 HOURS. These wonderful products produced remarkable results from their very first application! Day One: Initial Treatment @ 9:00 AM on the Low Setting for 20 minutes Second Treatment (same day) @ 12:00 NOON for 20 minutes Third Treatment (same day) @ 3:00 PM for 20 minutes Fourth Treatment (same day) @ BEDTIME for 20 minutes “Rinse & Repeat” every day now… My range of movement and the reduction of discomfort in my Achilles Tendons improved by at least 90% IMMEDIATELY. As for my chronic lower-back trouble that is the long-term result of a “minor exercising mishap” 45 years ago, which randomly flares up on a regular basis.. I am now enjoying Instant Relief thanks to the application of my Back Inferno Wrap whenever I experience any episode of neuro-muscular discomfort !!! I’ll keep you posted as time goes by, but I wanted to say right away, “THANK YOU so much for everything”!

Dear MendMeShop,

I'm grateful for the Inferno products. After a month or so, I began to feel so much better with my shoulder, leg, and my back. It's a magnificent healing product. I recommend it to everyone I know. If it weren't for your product, I would have had to have surgery and who is to say that would have worked - or made it worse. Appreciate all your help.

Posterior Tibial Tendinitis
(Tendonitis of the Foot)

Tiny tears and inflammation in the posterior tibial tendon leads to tendinitis and pain in the arch of the foot.

Posterior tibial tendonitis is inflammation in the tendon on the inside arch of the foot. The inflammation can be caused by irritation and tiny tears in the posterior tibial tendon over time (referred to as chronic tendonitis) or due to an immediate traumatic strain or tear (referred to as acute tendonitis).

The posterior tibial tendon runs along the inside of the ankle and attaches the tibialis posterior muscle (located at the back of the lower leg) to the foot bones in 3 different locations. The tendon assists in supporting the arch of the foot and helps to prevent your foot from rolling.

If posterior tibial tendonitis goes untreated you may experience flattened arches and your toes will begin to point outward as the tendon is no longer able to support your arch.

Posterior Tibial Tendinitis Symptoms

Symptoms of an inflamed posterior tibial tendon may include:

  • An unsteady gait (instability in the foot).
  • Shooting, stabbing or burning pain along the in-step of the foot and up the inside of the ankle.
  • Intense pain in the arch of the foot when standing on tip toes.
Hikers may experience posterior tibial tendon injuries if they roll over on their ankle. This can stretch the tendon causing tears and can lead to tendinitis if left untreated.

Who is at Risk?

  • People who have diabetes, are overweight, or are hypertensive.
  • People who play sports or do activities that involve repetitive ankle movements.
  • People who participate in activities such as running on uneven surfaces, racket sports, basketball, hiking, volleyball or other sports where rolling the ankle is common.
  • Elderly people due to tendons losing elasticity with age and becoming brittle.
  • People with flat feet.

Ankle Tendon Treatments

Allowing your ankle to rest is always recommended when you are suffering from tendinitis, tendon tear or bone dislocation. Avoid all activities that may have caused the injury or irritation and begin cold compression treatments as soon as possible. The peroneal and posterior tibial tendons are difficult to rest completely as they are essential tendons for walking and daily activities. During your recovery, you will probably have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your ankle until the pain and inflammation settle.

Scar tissue builds on the ankle tendons as they heal. The build up causes pain and inflexibility in the tendons making them more prone to further injury.

The trick with healing an ankle tendon injury is getting it to heal with minimal scar tissue formation. Even with optimum healing, there is always less elasticity in previously injured peroneal tendons. This will cause the tendons to hurt during daily activities and exercise. However, if you heal your ankle tendons efficiently and quickly, your chance of re-injury later on is much lower than average.

Customer Reviews

Fortunately, there are healing tools that can help treat your peroneal and posterior tibial tendons and speed up the healing process so you can get back to a life without pain and risk of further injury. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) promotes blood flow to heal your tendons faster and more completely than any other methods available.

Cold Compression Therapy

Doctors recommend using cold compression as soon as possible following an ankle injury, like a sprain, and after any re-injury. This will reduce pain and swelling and minimize tissue damage that occurs with soft tissue injuries like tendon tears and tendinitis.

Cold Compression
Freezie Wrap Therapy for your peroneal tendinitis inflammation and pain.

The Ankle/Achilles Freezie Wrap® allows you to treat the pain and swelling of your peroneal tendinitis or posterior tibial tendinitis in an effective and convenient way.

The wrap is adjustable which allows you to control the compression to a level that is comfortable for you and the gel packs are chilled in the fridge not the freezer. This eliminates the risk of cryoburn, or 'cold burns', on your skin that can be cause by ice and strandard freezer gel packs. You can also wear the Freezie Wrap® for longer treatments so you can enjoy even more relief from your ankle pain!

How to Order

Cold Compression Therapy works by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the injured area and reducing swelling that can block blood vessels. This is important because once blood vessels are blocked or damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood through the peroneal tendons and tissue cells begin to break-down. Without cold compression therapy cellular break-down and tissue damage continues as the cells do not get the oxygen they need to survive. By limiting the amount of damage, you also limit the amount of healing that needs to occur. This is a very important step to heal your ankle tendons faster and with less pain!

The deep cooling effect provided by the Ankle/Achilles Freezie Wrap® gives you the fast, effective relief your sore ankle has been looking for!

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

Once inflammation has been reduced, nourishing and strengthening the tendon tissue and surrounding area is recommended.

Ankle Inferno Wrap promotes blood flow to the tendon to speed healing and strengthen the surrounding tissue.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy, or BFST®, will speed your recovery and heal your ankle tendons more completely preparing them for strengthening exercises.

BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your ankle to nourish your tendons and ligaments, improving elasticity and accelerating the healing process.

By treating your ankle with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy you can increase your body's natural healing power. In addition, the fresh blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins that have built up from tendonitis and tissue damage leaving the area clean and able to heal faster. Our Ankle/Achilles Inferno Wrap® provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have been using the Freeze Wraps to reduce the inflammation, for which they worked great. Last week was the first time I tried the Infernowrap on my right knee and it seems to help just from one treatment. I plan to use it every night when I get back from work. I used the knee Inferno wrap again last night and put it on the medium power and it's helping tremendously. I'm able to bend my knee better and walk with more stability without leaning too much on my left knee to compensate for the injured knee.
