Dear MendMeShop,

Since I am a nurse and see a lot of injuries, I know what helps. Recently I tore my ACL in my left knee and was going to physical therapy, which by the way is very expensive if you do not have really good insurance coverage. It was very time consuming and costly, so I started looking online for another alternative and found Mendmeshop. Best thing I could have done! The ultrasound device and gel are WONDERFUL! I started seeing improvement in the first week and love the ease of use and the fact that it can be done at home on my own schedule. The customer service is also top notch, and there for you immediately. I highly recommend this product and it has been a PLEASURE dealing with Paul and this company.

Back Pain Management

Relief back pain with ultrsound

Back pain management will vary from one person to the next and from one diagnosis to another. For instance, if your back pain is caused by a herniated disc, your pain may be managed completely differently from a person who has back pain due to rheumatoid arthritis or muscle strain. Herniated discs sometimes require surgical intervention, especially if the disc problem results in sciatica or other neurological involvement.

One thing that most back pain management protocols have in common, though, is the use of physical therapy and massage therapy. Learning to strengthen the supporting muscles of the back often plays a major role in managing back pain. Other home therapies that are gaining acclaim in the field of back pain management are Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy and Ultrasound Therapy.

Back Pain Treatments

If you have back pain, resting it is recommended. Avoid activities that cause pain or may have caused the injury and begin cold compression treatments as soon as possible.

There are healing tools that can help treat your back pain and speed up the healing process so you can reduce your pain and get back to daily life. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) will promote blood flow to heal your injury faster and more completely than any other methods available.

Freezie Wrap® Cold Compression Therapy

To decrease inflammation of your muscle pull or other back injury doctor's recommend cold compression therapy. For an acute muscle strain, cold compression therapy within the first 48 - 72 hours and after any re-injury is important to limit the amount of damage done to your tissue. Cold compression therapy will relieve pain and swelling as needed and will reduce, or even eliminate, the need for NSAIDs and pain medications.

The Back/Hip Freezie Wrap treats pain, swelling and inflammation caused by muscle and tendon strain while reducing tissue damage.

The Back/Hip Freezie Wrap® is the cold compression tool you need to treat your back pain in an effective and convenient way. It is so versatile it can be worn anywhere over your chest, back, or hip for treatment where you need it.

Cold Compression Therapy works by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the injured area and reducing swelling that can block blood vessels. This is important because once blood vessels are blocked or damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood through your soft tissue and cells begin to break-down. Without cold compression therapy cellular break-down and tissue damage continues as the cells do not get the oxygen they need to survive. By limiting the amount of damage done to your tissue, you also limit the amount of healing that needs to occur. This is a very important step to get rid of your back pain faster!

The deep cooling effect provided by the Freezie Wrap® slows cell metabolism thereby reducing cellular break-down and tissue damage. Furthermore, because the cold wraps gently numb the nerves, the wraps also reduce pain!

The Freezie Wrap® uses a supercharged cooling gel pack, that chills in the fridge, not in the freezer like ice or other freezer packs, giving you deep cold therapy without the risk of 'cold burns' or cryoburn.

MendMeShop Success Stories

Once the inflammation of your back injury has been reduced, nourishing and strengthening the muscle tissue and surrounding area is recommended. Using Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy will speed your recovery and heal your muscle fibers and other soft tissue more completely. Talk to your doctor or physical therapist to find out which exercises are appropriate for your situation.

Inferno Wrap® Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

After severe inflammation and swelling is reduced you can begin to treat your back with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®). BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your tendon and muscle fibers to nourish your soft tissue which speeds healing.

The Inferno Wrap speeds the healing of back tendon strain, muscle pulls, and tears.

When you rest your back and stop moving around because it hurts, the natural blood flow is reduced, limiting your body's ability to heal itself.

By treating your back with BFST® you can increase your body's blood supply to the muscle fibers and soft tissue and increase your body's natural healing power.

The Inferno Wrap® is the tool you need to treat your sore back because not only does it speeds healing, it relaxes all you back muscles. With BFST®, tissues are safely and gently stimulated. Your body responds with a rapid increase in blood flow to the area, increasing the supply of oxygen and nutrients to injured tissue cells to promote healing and loosen the tissue. Our Back/Hip Inferno Wrap® provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

In addition, the improved blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins that have built up from the damaged tissue caused by your back injury, further reducing tightness and pain. When you stop moving your back due to pain, your muscles and other tissue can become weaker and dead cells and toxins in the area can cause further tissue deterioration - this can lead to atrophy (muscle weakness and/or deterioration). By clearing the area of toxins and increasing the amount of oxygen and nutrients to your tissue, the risk of atrophy is greatly reduced. Keeping your muscle tissue as healthy as possible throughout the healing process will allow you to improve muscle strength again once your pain has gone and your back has healed.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy is a great therapeutic option to compliment your BFST® treatments. Ultrasound therapy will decrease inflammation and pain, prevent knots from forming in the muscle fibers, and soften scar tissue. Therapeutic ultrasonic waves increase tissue elasticity while promoting healing in your back by opening up the blood vessels to allow greater blood flow.

MendMeShop Therapeutic Ultrasound treats soft tissue hip injuries by reducing inflammation and scar tissue

If you are experiencing pain in your hip, knee, ankle or leg because of your back injury, you can use therpeutic ultrasound to treat these areas as well. With back pain you often readjust your posture and gait to take the pressure off. This puts extra pressure on other parts of your body and can cause strain. Using a home ultrasound will allow you to treat all the areas that need to heal easily and help you maintain a healthier body.

During the healing process, scar tissue builds up to 'repair' the damaged tissue. Unfortunately, scar tissue can bind your muscle fibers and other tissue together abnormally. The inflexible scar tissue causes more back pain and limits range of motion.

If scar tissue is left untreated, your back may stiffen making movement difficult and in some cases, impossible. At the very least, scar tissue leaves your muscles weaker, leaving you at greater risk of further injury. Fortunately, you can treat your back with MendMeShop® Ultrasound System to soften scar tissue and improve the tightness in your back.

Please Note: Ultrasound is not recommended for use directly over the spine.

Ultrasound can also be used to administer therapeutic medicines deep into your back tendons and muscles. This is a process known as phonophoresis. Ultrasound therapy with phonophoresis is rapidly becoming more popular than ultrasound therapy alone.

Lavender Infusion Ultrasound Gel contains the healing power of natural Bulgarian lavender, eucalyptus, menthol, and peppermint.

Therapeutic ultrasound with phonophoresis is safe, convenient, and easy and requires 10-15 minutes per treatment. It is based on a form of deep tissue therapy, which is generated through high frequency sound waves (that we can not hear). These waves send micro vibrations into your body and carry medicated molecules within the ultrasound gel deep into your tissue to enhance your ultrasound therapy. Ultrasound waves and medicated ultrasound gel penetrate deep to relax your muscles, decrease inflammation and accelerate your recovery rate, so you can return to your daily activities as soon as possible.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have been using the Platinum Plantar/Spur Therapy Combo which includes the Ultrasound device, Inferno Plantar Wrap, and Freezie Plantar Wrap for about 10 days now to treat my plantar fasciitis. PF is a very painful condition that made it impossible for me to run, jump, walk my dogs, or keep up with my family on outings of any length. Mornings were especially tough-going, as I would sit and do stretching excercises that would provide me little relief, just so I could get from the bed to the coffee. I have experience with treating PF in my left foot about 5 years ago. There had been no recurrence, and since I have had no problem with any activity or with wearing any style of shoes on that foot, I thought I had conquerred PF long, long ago. Who knows what brought it on this time? I felt quite responsible that I had done something wrong and really bore the guilty feelings that I had messed up my foot doing something stupid. My nurse practitioner said that while there are bad habits that can cause PF, he truly thinks from his experience that I probably didn't do anything in particular to bring it on. I was, honestly, just living my active life when suddenly, I couldn't walk from the bed to the bathroom. This time, when I had the first signs of PF in my right foot in late April, I tried the things my doctor had prescribed in the past on my own. Stretching, night splint, and non-steroid antiinflamatory. After a couple of weeks, I realized I needed something more. I have a big trip planned with my family at the end of August, and I really don't want to have too much trouble keeping up with everyone. I went to the nurse practitioner, and he recommended physical therapy but cautioned that since I would probably go only a couple of times a week, the results would take awhile. He suggested that I look into home ultrasound. Then I could do the treatment myself, and therefore, administer as many treatments as I could a day. He suggested three times a day. I looked on the internet for a reputable company with a good return policy and a wide selection of products. I found MendMeShop.com and ordered the Platinum Package to take advantage of heat, cold, and ultrasound therapy. I have only been using the products for a short time, but I have had a noticeable decrease in my pain and an increase in my range of function. The ultrasound is my magic wand to me. I know it is this product that has made the most change, since I had already been using heat and ice on my own. It is an easy to use device, even accounting for the awkward position one must get into in order to apply it to the bottom of one's foot. Although I had been applying heat and ice before, the Inferno Plantar Wrap and Freezie Plantar Wrap are much more efficient ways to do it. The wraps fit comfortably on my small foot and apply the correct or even adjustable levels of temperature. The compression does its job physiologically, but it just plain feels good! And when you have PF, that alone is a joy! My therapy of a NSAID along with a night splint now includes the ultrasound two or three times a day for fifteen minutes, heat wrap on wakening and after ultrasound, and the Freezie Wrap only after much acitivity. To turn around PF, one must take therapy seriously and not go at it in a hit or miss manner. Keeping to this treatment plan, I am able at day ten to wake without pain, walk at a moderate pace, and participate in my desired activities at a much more active level. Although it seems time-consuming, I only have to think of all the wasted time and missed fun of spending time in a chair while friends and family are up enjoying activities I could not possibly participate in. I am quite optimistic that continuing this therapy plan on my own will lead to a painless, comfortable foot. I look forward to my vacation feeling quite certain that I will be in good enough shape to enjoy it. I can bring the US therapy, and heat and cold wraps along; they are so easily portable. I know that this condition may take about a year to fully resolve in my left foot, so having products that are easy to transport are a must for me. I travel often, and I don't want to be without the benefit of continued therapy for anytime at all. Thank you very sincerely for your high-quality product and kind personal attention. I also want to add that it is quite easy to waste a lot of money when you have this condition. I have enough worthless shoes, insoles, arch supports, splints, heat wraps, and ice bags to fill a foot hospital! To purchase a product with a 60 day money back guarantee is a relief. That amount of time is truly necessay to see if it provides long-term relief. I know this is a long testimony, but I hope I have adequately expressed to you my satistaction. I can honestly say that I couldn't do without these products, and I highly recommend your website to friends and family. I believe in you so much that I might honestly approach a limping stranger on the street and tell him about the Inferno Wrap and my 'magic wand ultrasound therapy'! Thank you Paul for you kind phone call yesterday, your suggestions, and encouragement. It is slow-going to see improvement in this condition, it is sometimes hard to stay optimistic, it is easy to have set-backs, and often it is quite misunderstood by other people. Your product truly supplies hope for PF sufferers like me.
