Dear MendMeShop,

I'm regularly using both Leg and Plantar Inferno Wraps now and I'm already seeing extreme/good results. Basically I'm doing lots of running now and enjoy competing 5k's & 10k's. Hopefully full marathon soon and to achieve better results I need to train hard; consequences [of this] are typical running injuries. Obviously I'm treating my Plantar Fascia [with the Plantar Inferno Wrap], and using the Leg Inferno Wrap I'm treating my calf and hamstring. Both Inferno Wraps I should say are user friendly / easy to use except you need to be near electrical outlet to operate this gadget. I should say this equipment is a big help to the runners world.

Dear MendMeShop,

My knee is completely healed and I am back more than 100%. I had surgery on that knee several years ago and it had not been very flexible since then. Between the ice wrap and the inferno wrap, my knee is better than it was before I injured it this time. I had been to the doctor and had scheduled an MRI about the time I ordered the ice and Inferno wraps. I kept moving the MRI date up because I could tell my knee was beginning to heal. I cancelled my MRI appointment a couple of weeks ago and I am back to my full workout schedule. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product. I tell everyone who will listen how great your product is and the excellent results I received. I still use both products every day. I have arthritis in my right shoulder and will be ordering the shoulder wraps in the near future. Again, thank you for a product that has saved me hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars had surgery been the result of the MRI, not to mention the risks associated with surgery. I am a lifelong fan! Thank you! Jerie

Dear MendMeShop,

Dear Mend Me Shop, I am writing to you in response to your courtesy call I received. I had a career of over 30 years as a railroad mechanic during which time I inflicted much abuse to my body, especially the knees and elbows. After much research on my condition I purchased two of your products available and after three weeks of using them I have to say that I'm almost totally free of the constant, unbearable pain that I was experiencing. I appreciate the care your company provides to their customers with your advisors on hand to answer any questions you might have and help you through the healing process. I will be recommending your products to my friends in the future, thank you again Mend Me Shop. Steven

Dear MendMeShop,

I have been using the inferno wrap for about 3 weeks now and the results are outstanding. I could feel relief after the first use of the inferno wrap. About 2 years ago the doctor told me I had plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. The heel of my feet hurt so badly, I could hardly walk. Getting out of bed in the mornings was pain beyond belief. I would hold on to the bed railings to take a step. After going to the doctors and getting cortizone injections, ordering custom made insoles, exercises, taping my arch, and therapy, my feet were still hurting. I stopped the doctor visits for lack of relief. I was paying out so much money with no results. Not knowing what else to do, I prayed and asked God to show me what I could do to get releif. I came across the mend me website and read the entire article on foot problems and the products. What it said made so much sense to me. I felt it would be the right thing for me. I love the way it talks about the body and explain how it should work. What really drew me the most and encouraged me to order was: the site said your body was designed to heal itself. I am a firm believer in organic healing and avoiding medication and surgery whenever possible. When I read about the blood flow I was sold on the product. I know that blood is the life of the body. When I wear the inferno wrap I don't want to take it off. It gives relief and warmth right where it hurts. I will be ordering other products for the feet as well. Thanks for the information you give on each part of the body. I have referred your website to several people for different ailments.

Dear MendMeShop,

I'm usually a bit of a skeptic but I am absolutely amazed at the improvement in my knee. I was diagnosed with Lateral tendonitis - never knew it could be so painful. I actually started walking again yesterday and look forward to getting back to Bootcamp soon. Thank you for an amazing product!

Iliopsoas Bursitis Medications
and Natural Supplements

Cortisone/Steroid Injections or Topical Medications may initially help reduce inflammation and swelling; however steroids may actually cause more harm than good if used on a long term basis. Ask your doctor if these are a possible option for your iliopsoas tendinitis and/or bursitis or iliopsoas syndrome.

Medication can help ease your pain

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and pain medications (analgesics) can be used to help manage your iliopsoas tendinitis and/or bursitis pain. However, these medications will not cure this problem - they will merely treat your symptoms.

These drugs aren't recommended for everyone or for long term use, as pain medications can cause liver damage, and NSAIDs can cause gastrointestinal difficulties such as upset stomach, diarrhea, ulcers and intestinal bleeding. They can also trigger other serious side effects, and even inhibit the body's natural ability to heal itself.

COX-2 Inhibitors (prescription NSAIDs like Celebrex, Bextra or Vioxx, block the COX-2 enzyme involved with prostaglandin production responsible for inflammation) have been linked with risks of heart attack, stroke and in some cases death. The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) asked manufacturers to withdraw some COX-2 Inhibitors (Vioxx and Bextra) from the market as well as put a warning label on the packaging outlining the risks involved with use (Celebrex).

Natural Pain and Healing Therapies

Although medication can be helpful to reduce the pain and inflammation of bursitis, side effects can be damaging overtime. Use of NSAIDS and pain medication is not recommended over a long period of time. There are effective home therapies for treating bursitis in a natural, non-addictive way that will not harm your organs or increase your risk of other diseases.

Relieving the symptoms of bursitis initially focuses on keeping the pressure off the bursa. Surgery may be required if your bursa irritation is a result of a bone formation problem, such as a bone spur. If your bursitis is caused by an infection (septic bursitis), the doctor will probably drain the bursa sac with a needle and prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection. For non-infectious bursitis, the preliminary treatment starts with non-operative options such as ColdCure Technology®.

The most important factor in healing bursitis is resting your hip. This can be difficult when you have to carry on with daily activities, but resting whenever you can is recommended. During your recovery you will probably have to modify or avoid the activities that stress your bursa until your pain and inflammation settle.

Success Stories

Treatments should involve decreasing swelling, relieving stress on the hip joint, correcting any biomechanical dysfunction (uneven leg length, bone spur, etc.), treating scar tissue, and then restoring strength and movement in your leg and hip. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) is recommended once inflammation has been calmed to heal the bursa and surrounding tissue faster and reduce the risk of bursitis returning.

Freezie Wrap® Cold Therapy

To decrease inflammation and relieve the pain of iliopsoas bursitis doctor's recommend cold therapy.

The Back/Hip Freezie Wrap treats pain, swelling and inflammation caused by bursitis while reducing tissue damage.

Applying cold to your inflamed bursa will help decrease the swelling and redness around it. Cold therapy will also help to numb the pain in your acetabular joint and help to control the inflammation. In addition, the deep cooling effect provided by the Hip Freezie Wrap® reduces tissue damage.

The Hip Freezie Wrap® uses a supercharged cooling gel pack, that chills in the fridge, not in the freezer like ice or other freezer packs, giving you deep cold therapy without the risk of 'cold burns' or cryoburn.

Cooling your inflamed iliopsoas bursa as needed throughout the day is recommended. The Hip Freezie Wrap® can be used to apply cold in a safe, convenient and effective way - and the gel pack is reusable. The gel pack sits gently over the inflamed bursa to reduce swelling and redness.

How to Order

The wrap is soft and adjustable so it fits your body properly, without irritating the bursa, and allows you to adjust the compression. This is important when treating an inflamed bursa because too much pressure can cause you further pain. You control how much pressure the bursa receives so you can benefit from the compression to hold the cold where you need it, without increasing your pain.

Inferno Wrap® Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

Once the inflammation of your bursitis has been reduced with ColdCure Technology®, it is time to improve blood flow and improve the elasticity of your surrounding soft tissue. Your body needs a fresh supply of blood to improve the health of your tissue and get your iliopsoas bursa back to normal.

The Back/Hip Inferno Wrap speeds the healing of bursa tissue and the surrounding area.

Unfortunately, when you are suffering from bursitis it can be painful to even walk or lift your leg. When you limit movement in your hip the blood flow is reduced, starving your tissue of the necessary oxygen and nutrients.

The trick is to find a way to increase blood flow without causing pain and/or further inflaming the bursae. This is where Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy, or BFST®, becomes a powerful tool.

BFST® compliments your body's natural healing process by promoting blood flow while you give your hip the rest it needs.

The Hip Inferno Wrap® uses a patented process to generate the same energy that is part of the sun's spectrum of light, the same energy that is necessary to all living things for optimum health. The energy emitted from the Energy Web® stimulates blood flow to your hip, more than your body would ever be able to generate on it's own, giving your body the boost it needs to continue the reconditioning process. The healing energy reaches deep into your iliopsoas bursa to speed tissue repair, whisk away the toxins and dead cells, and rejuvenate your hip tissues for improved elasticity.

With these 3 easy therapies, you will notice significantly reduced pain and an incredible improvement in your hip pain and range of motion.

We recommend that you consult your doctor and/or physiotherapist before using any of our outstanding products, to make sure they're right for you and your condition.

Anti-Inflammatory Medications

NSAIDs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, can be used if required to help manage your pain. However, these aren't recommended for long term use, as they can cause gastrointestinal difficulties and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. The use of cold therapy BFST® in conjunction with NSAIDs can greatly improve the effect of this medication and can help to heal quicker.

Surgical Procedures

Your doctor may aspirate your inflamed bursa. This involves removing the extra fluid that has built up with a needle. Sometimes, the fluid will be tested at a laboratory to rule out infection.

Many hip conditions are treated with arthroscopic surgery; bursitis, tendinitis, iliopsoas tendon tear, labral tear repair, cartilage trimming, snapping hip syndrome, and trimming bone spurs.

If your bursitis does not get better with conservative treatments, the bursa may be surgically removed. Usually this is done by hip arthroscopy, which is a surgical procedure where tiny incisions are made and a pencil-sized camera is inserted into the hip. A small shaver is inserted into another incision, and is used to remove the swollen bursa all together. The surgeon will then look for any damage to the hip and make repairs if necessary. This is also done to remove any bone spurs.

Recovery time for the surgery will depend on a number of different factors including your healing ability, diet, rest and how many procedures were done in your surgery.

Post-op recovery time can be reduced with the use of cold compression and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy following surgery. Cold compression is recommend by doctors following surgery to treat your pain in a natural, non-addictive way and to reduce swelling. Once the incision has healed, speak with your doctor about the use of BFST®. BFST® encourages more oxygen and nutrients to flow to the area to speed healing and improve the strength of the soft tissue in your hip. Improving blood flow is the most important step following surgery, especially in a joint, to speed healing and improve the range of motion in your hip.

Rehabiliation Exercise

Physical therapy is a beneficial way to restore atrophied muscles and improve strength and mobility after treating bursitis. The type of physical therapy and the duration will be dependent on the tissue damage and your symptoms. When you are treating or recovering from bursitis, it is important to ensure you do not perform any exercises that will further irritate the bursa.

BFST used in conjuction with physical therapy can speed recovery and heal you more completely.

Once your pain starts to diminish, a physiotherapist will set up an individualized strengthening and stretching exercise program for you to perform at home or in the gym. This will be based on your needs and abilities, and will help you return to performing your normal routines.

Individuals will often lift weights on their own, to try and build up their strength. However, in doing so, they can do more damage to their joint. It is extremely important to strengthen your muscles properly, as they may have weakened during the period of non-use. A trained therapist will help to ensure your rehabilitation process is appropriate and effective. For best, long term results use BFST® in conjunction with physical therapy and an exercise program.

How to Order

During your recovery, you may have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your joint until your pain and inflammation settle, and you gain more mobility and strength. The more diligent you are with your rehabilitation, the faster you will see successful results.
