Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound Therapy increases tissue elasticity while promoting the flow of blood (filled with vital oxygen and nutrients) to your injured wrist. This cleans the injured area by getting rid of damaged tissue and reducing the inflammation of the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and/or bursa while opening up the blood vessels to begin healing.
During the healing process, scar tissue builds on the soft tissue in the wrist which can attach the connective tissue together abnormally, limiting the flexibility and movement of the tendons and ligaments.
