Dear MendMeShop,

Dear Paul, I wanted to e-mail you and let you know how things are going. In your last e-mail to me you made a very profound statement that I had never heard before. I have been to several doctors over the past 10 years and not any one of them ever told me that snapping hip syndrome was a manifestation of short leg syndrome. I truly think that many of my problems are layers that have had to have been slowly peeled away to find out what the problem is that is causing each and every one of them. I thought about the statement that you made and I applied it. Several years back I had a chiropractor tell me that I had short leg syndrome and that I had fallen arches in my right foot and leg. He ordered me an orthotic and a lift to make up the difference. My foot hurt all the time and my right hip hurt all the time and so I stoppd wearing them. A few years later I discovered that I had a bad right ovary. Once I had a doctor that agreed that it was bad and removed it and all that pain went away I was left with my right foot hurting. I found arch supports that made that better but then I had the bursitus and snapping hip syndrome symptoms. No Doctor knew what to do for me and basically tried to give me pain medication to cover it up. I don't want to cover anything up. I want to find the root of the problem and treat it. So, I got to thinking about your statement. (I know it seems like I am going around this same tree, but I will get there) My thought was that because of the pain I was suffering from my ovary, maybe with that all gone I should try the lifts again and see what happens. I am tellinig you...that one little statement you made took care of my bursitus and my snapping hip syndrome. I am no longer suffering from any of that. I have not had to use the ultra sound device at all. I am sleeping well at night. Thank you for your statement. You just don't know how much that has meant to me. You don't know me, you have never met me but you literally saved the quality of my life. It took me a few days after I read your e-mail to put two and two together so to speak but it was worth trying again. Thank you so much.

About Tension Headaches

...tension headache pain does not increase with physical activity and no nausea is associated with this condition...

Other terms for the tension headache: muscle contraction headache, stress headache, ordinary headache, idiopathic headache, psychogenic headache, psychomyogenic headache and essential headache. This type of headache has been shown to respond extremely well to trigger point treatment with ultrasound. It is not uncommon for a tension headache to disappear within 5 minutes of an ultrasound trigger point treatment.

...the tension headache is very treatable by therapeutic ultrasound...

The Tension Headache is the most common type of headache, occurring between 30% to 78% of the population (this variation depends on the study). The Tension Headache can range from infrequent episodic (less than 1 day per month, on average) to the chronic (headache occurring on at least 15 days per month for more than three months). Infrequent occurrences of this headache really have minimal impact on quality of life, but for frequent and chronic sufferers of the tension headache, considerable disability is incurred; expensive drugs and increased difficulty to live a healthy lifestyle increase both the personal and socio-economic costs of the frequent tension headache sufferer.

Infrequent Episodic Tension Type Headache

ultrasound therapy on upper trapezius

This is categorized as infrequent headache episodes that can last from a couple minutes to days. Pain is usually bilateral (occuring on both the left and right side of the head) and has a pressing or tightening feeling with a pain intensity from mild to moderate. The pain does not increase with physical activity and no nausea is associated with this type of headache. It is not uncommon for a sufferer to be overly sensitive to light or sound. This headache is further differentiated by a sensitity (or lack of) to pressure on trigger points in the upper trapezius, masseter, temporal, sternius, pterygoid and sternocleidomastoid muscles. A map of sensitive trigger points that are treatable by ultrasound can be found here.

Frequent Episodic Tension Type Headache

This is categorized as frequent headache episodes that can last from a couple minutes to days. At least 10 episodes will on more than 1 but less than 15 days per month for at least three months. This type of headache often exists with the Migraine Without Aura type of headache, and in such cases, it is important for the sufferer to keep a headache diary, which will help the doctor diagnose the proper type of headache. Migraine Headache treatment is quite different from Tension Headache treatment and proper diagnosis is important to for both treatment selection and to help prevent the occurrence of medication-overuse headaches. Pain is usually bilateral (occuring on both the left and right side of the head) and has a pressing or tightening feeling with a pain intensity from mild to moderate. The pain does not increase with physical activity and no nausea is associated with this type of headache. It is not uncommon for a sufferer to be overly sensitive to light or sound, but not both. This headache is further differentiated by a sensitity (or lack of) to pressure on trigger points in the upper trapezius, masseter, temporal, sternius, pterygoid and sternocleidomastoid muscles.

BFST™ - Using Your Body's Natural Healing System

Inferno Wrap providing superior blood flow stimulation.

Your body can heal itself! In fact, your body starts healing itself the moment you are injured and it's the blood in your body that makes it all happen. Your blood is the transport mechanism for everything that is good inside you. It carries oxygen, nutrients, water and antibodies. Proper blood flow is essential to healing. Unfortunately, when you injure your body you stop moving and the swelling sets in. That means your vital blood flow can be reduced to a trickle! If you want to heal quickly, you need to keep your blood moving and that's where Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™, or BFST™, comes in.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™ promotes the flow of blood through the injured area without the need to exercise your already damaged tissue. You can really feel it work. Within moments of applying an Inferno Wrap™ you can feel the healing sensation and the increase in blood flow. During a treatment, and for quite some time after you finish, your injured area will experience increased blood flow even though your body is at rest. It's a soothing sensation and extremely effective. With BFST™ your injury is constantly being fed with healing, nutritious, oxygen and energy filled blood. This is exactly what your body needs to heal.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am actually pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of the ultrasound device. I self diagnosed myself with Intersection Syndrome from a repeating wrist motion at work. It felt horrible for 3 weeks, tendons creaking, swelling, severe pain, and decreased range of motion. Admittedly, I have only done the procedure 3 times so far in about 4 days (and have not used it now for about 3 days), and I am using that hand fully at work now and have not irritated the injury once. Although I know it is not completely healed yet, it truly feels like nothing ever happened. I am still skeptical that this thing can work that well, but I can’t deny that as soon as I started using the ultrasound device and then wrapping my wrist in alternating hot and cold, my wrist almost immediately got better. It was literally 4 days later and it was like nothing was wrong. I seriously can’t believe it. I would recommend this to anyone.
