Dear MendMeShop,

Hi Paul- You had written me about a month ago to follow up on my purchase of a Mendme Ultrasound. I wanted to express my recognition and appreciation for how Mendmeshop does business. I am very familiar with ultrasound therapy from first hand experience as a patient. In fact, currently, three of my four family members have been in physical therapy which included professional ultrasound therapy. I purchased the Mendme for home use ultrasound to extend the benefit and thereby reduce the pain while shortening healing time. In the past month plus since purchasing my ultrasound, we have used the ultrasound on a daily basis and are very pleased with it. There are other ultrasound machines out there for purchase, however, I've felt the quality of the Mendme is superior to those I've seen and feel that the greater cost is indicative of a better product. One aspect that is clearly superior is the customer service. In these economic times, we have a choice as consumers and many of us are very much budget minded. I consider that the value added in my purchase from Mendme is the people from your company who support your product and provide follow-up and ongoing support from the time of purchase. I appreciate this very much. Upon purchasing the Mendme ultrasound to assist me with several ailments, Virginia was hit by two blizzards burying us in over three feet of snow within a couple of days. This meant a great deal of shoveling and subsequently, made my injury areas worst. Using the Mend-me ultrasound was integral in providing relief. I used the brochure included with my purchase to ensure that I was applying the therapy correctly to the new areas that were painful following all the extra lifting and work we did digging out after the storms. I just wanted to let Mendme know that we're happy with our purchase! I'm very interested in many other products by Mendme and appreciate the focus of customer service from the company. These days when it seems consumer service is gone for most companies, Mendme shows that if you have a good product and you care about your customer, a business like Mendme develops true loyalty. Thanks very much-

Hoffa's Syndrome, Anterior Knee Pain Syndrome (Fat Pad Impingement)

What is it?

Infrapatellar
fat pad

Hoffa's fat pad syndrome can occur when symptoms suggest damage to the meniscus or ligament but investigation shows they are intact. There is pain under the patella and there may be effusion (excessive fluid inside the knee joint). Extending a bent knee with pressure on the patellar tendon will elicits a strong pain and a defensive reaction. With this condition, the fat pad in the anterior portion of the knee becomes inflamed from repeated impingement. Impingement results from excessive pressure on the fat pad. If this occurs in a runner, specialists will usually examine the runners overall biomechanics and running gait to determine why they received this condition in the first place and correct it so that it doe not continue or reoccur; continued symptoms could lead to scarring. A physical exam will reveal tenderness in this fat pad which could be of a varying size.

Large Fat Pad and a Normal Knee

Treatment

Hoffa's Syndrome is typically treated by a lidocaine injection and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), though ultrasound is becoming very popular in treatment for this condition, especially in patients that want to decrease their medication levels. Be sure to rest the area (reduce impact and weight pressures on the knee), regular ice, stretching and physiotherapy are all helpful. An ultrasound application over the affected area 2 to 3 times daily will reduce swelling quickly and increase blood flow to the area - increasing the healing rate of the tendon.

BFST™ - Using Your Body's Natural Healing System

Inferno Wrap providing superior blood flow stimulation.

Your body can heal itself! In fact, your body starts healing itself the moment you are injured and it's the blood in your body that makes it all happen. Your blood is the transport mechanism for everything that is good inside you. It carries oxygen, nutrients, water and antibodies. Proper blood flow is essential to healing. Unfortunately, when you injure your body you stop moving and the swelling sets in. That means your vital blood flow can be reduced to a trickle! If you want to heal quickly, you need to keep your blood moving and that's where Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™, or BFST™, comes in.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™ promotes the flow of blood through the injured area without the need to exercise your already damaged tissue. You can really feel it work. Within moments of applying an Inferno Wrap™ you can feel the healing sensation and the increase in blood flow. During a treatment, and for quite some time after you finish, your injured area will experience increased blood flow even though your body is at rest. It's a soothing sensation and extremely effective. With BFST™ your injury is constantly being fed with healing, nutritious, oxygen and energy filled blood. This is exactly what your body needs to heal.

Dear MendMeShop,

Dear Tanya of MendMeShop, I appreciate your following up and would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the relief obtained with the Ultrasound Pain Therapy System. I am not seeing any pain due to the rotator-cuff injury unless the shoulder is exerted too much. The arms and shoulder are able to move more freely than before and this increase in the range of movement allows for activities that could not be attempted before. Since the pain has gone away after the 3-week treatment, I propose to use it only if the pain flares up again or the shoulder is re-injured. Your product has been a godsend and I have already recommended it to a couple of friends and relatives. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Anand
