Dear MendMeShop, After working for 22 years at a tree nursery, I developed rotator cuff problem in both shoulders because of the repetitious movement it takes to grade the seedlings on a table. Then I fell a couple of years ago, tearing the left rotator cuff.
I have tried things like ice, special exercises, and ibuprofen. The ice and ibuprofen numbed the pain for awhile, then I would get a flare-up every time I would try to do a little yard work, such as raking. Afterwards, I would be unable to raise my arm for several days at a time, each time getting worse. I worried all the time about surgery, but knew it was not an option because of lack of insurance.
One day, I had an idea to just type in rotator cuff into the Google search engine to see if I could find some new help. I just happened to come across the article about home ultrasound, and was happy to read that it could actually heal rotator cuff problems. This was back in March of this year. I wanted it then, but could not afford the price at the time. Just by coincidence, I checked the sight again a short time ago, and LO and Behold! It was on sale! Yes, I was going to get me one of those kits because I could afford it now! I was so thankful to get this deal. A prayer answered!
Well, I have been using it faithfully and have noticed a remarkable improvement in my shoulders. I can even sleep on my side now, without getting up in alot of pain. I also have arthritis in my hands, especially in the right trigger finger. This is being a little more stubborn, but is not as chronic as before. I have learned to use the ultrasound more on the soft part of my hand, rather than over the bone area, because absorption is better. Rating: Bonnie -

Heal Your Knee: Combine Ultrasound and Thermal Wrap Home Therapies!
Knee injuries are very common injuries and can persist for years unless treatment is properly addressed. Anyone who has had one will tell you that they are incredibly painful and very hard to heal.
The knee joint is made up of many ligaments and tendons that support your weight and the wide range of movements you perform everyday. Injury to any one of these supports can result in a long period of treatment and rehab.
The meniscus provides even weight distribution across the knee joint effectively protecting your bones from excessive force and severe arthritis. The meniscus is a tough cartilage that rests in between the thigh bone and shin bone on either side of the knee. In younger people a meniscus tear most commonly occurs when under weight the knee is twisted forcefully. In adults a meniscus injury is more of a degenerative process; as the cartilage becomes brittle even a minor injury could tear the cartilage.
Ligament tears are also very common knee injuries; the knee joint includes support from three main ligaments: the ACL, LCL and MCL. The Anterior Cruciate ligament, supporting rotational and forward movements, is reportedly the most commonly injured ligament in sport. The Lateral Collateral Ligament stabilizes the outside of the knee, while the Medial Collateral Ligament stabilizes the inside of the knee.
Subject: thank you
I had been suffering for months with debilitating pain in my knee that was a result of a meniscus injury that just wouldn't heal. The advice I received was to ice it, try to stay off it, and take something for the pain. Hopefully in a few weeks or months it should have hopefully healed and surgery could be avoided. Well, it wasn't healing, it was getting worse.
Desparate to escape surgery, I bought your ultimate knee kit. Two weeks later most of my pain is gone. I have little doubt that I'm now on the road to a full recovery
I just wish someone had recommended products like these to save me months of suffering.

Once you have a meniscus or ligament tear, you have an increased risk of developing knee arthritis, because these supports are weakened. Especially in the case of meniscus tears; they slowly wear away with knee movements and are unable to protect your articular cartilage on the surface of the knee joint as much as before.
In the injuries initial stages it is important to reduce the swelling in the area and to control the pain as much as you can. The URICE (Ultrasound, Rest Ice Compression Elevation) method has long been a tried and true treatment for soft tissue injuries. The best way to heal is to reduce swelling; the URICE method facilitates this as well as a quicker healing time.
During your recovery, you will probably have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your knee area until your pain and inflammation settle
Small tears in the meniscus or ligament stretches may go completely unnoticed and will most likely heal themselves. The meniscus and ligaments do not have a lot of access to blood supply and so more serious treatments will need to be considered.
Ultrasound therapy increases blood flow eliminating cell waste and supplying the injury with the nutrients it might otherwise not receive enough of.
The MendMeShop Portable Ultrasound Therapy System and our top quality cold wraps provide you with the tools necessary to relieve the pain caused by your injured knee and dramatically speed the healing of any tissue inflammation. When using radiant energy or ultrasound, the energy waves stimulate blood flow which speeds up healing and clears away the pain causing inflammation. Beginning with your very first treatment you will feel the relief - the power - of ultrasound therapy. Ultrasound waves travel deep into your body, over 3 inches deep, delivering therapeutic benefits to the source of the pain

Our cold compression wraps are made of the highest quality materials available. They fit perfectly, stay in place, are extremely durable, and use a special patented baffled cold array. What is a baffled cold array? All other cold packs simply use a plastic bag partially filled with cold gel. What is sure to happen is the gel pools in the low spots or in pockets where there is no pressure. Fill a plastic bag with water and put it on your arm and watch what happens - all the water sits in two pools on either side of your arm. Cold compression wraps work because they interrupt and slow nerve and cell function in the damaged area. Once blood vessels are damaged they can no longer carry oxygenated blood to the damaged tissue and therefore cells begin to break-down. The deep cold provided by cold compression wraps slow cell function thereby reducing cellular break-down. Furthermore, because the cold wraps serve to numb the nerves the wraps also reduce pain!

| Dear MendMeShop, Hello, Ladies: In the summer of 2007, after hobbling around for a couple of months with a tremendous pain in my right foot, I limped into my orthopedic surgeon's office and was diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis. He told me this was one of those situations where you want to try everything else imaginable before surgery to see if you can get it fixed because the surgery itself was intense and the recovery time long. He stuck me in a big blue boot to immobilize my foot and sent me to PT for a couple of months. My foot calmed down a little, but walking in the boot made my opposite hip hurt so much it felt like a screwdriver was being jammed into the joint. So, I took off the boot and it just rode around in the back seat of my car. We were like cousins - we were close, but we didn't touch. Over the next year, I tried every alternative treatment I could think of. Since I am a Rolfer, of course, I tried Rolfing. Chiropracitc adjustments. Cold Laser treatments. Creams. Ointments. Homeopathic pellets. Heat. Cold.. Prayer. Toxic doses of ibuprofen. I even slept a few nights with a chunk of turquoise duct-taped to the back of my foot. I was desperate. A few weeks ago, two things happened. One, my acupuncturist began hooking the needles she stuck into my foot up to some sort of Chinese jumper cables, which seemed to help a lot. And, two, I ran across your web site on the internet. Even though the price of the ultrasound unit seemed expensive to me, the constant pain in my foot was making me crazy and, as my friend Stephen said, "Well, three hundred bucks is a small price to pay for sanity." He was right. I began using my Ultrasound unit as soon as it arrived and have done it faithfully each day for the past week, along with the inferno wrap each evening and the cold wrap a time or two for some swelling. I didn't expect it to work this well this quickly, honestly. So, each step I take without pain or without that tightness in the back of my foot so intense it feels like my tendon is about to snap, well, it brings tears to my eyes, but only tears of joy and relief. This is how I explain it to people: "Imagine that 18 months ago or so a gila monster latched onto the back of your foot with its spiney little teeth and has ridden around, clamped down on you, all this time. The pain has been intense, constant, relentless and unending. There have been no breaks it and no cure in sight, like the obnoxious party guest who won't leave. Suddenly, the gila monster, that sneaky little SOB, has let go. Just imagine the relief. That's how I feel." So, I don't know if you can use this rant in your testimonials because it's an awfully long e-mail just to say THANK YOU for this product. My foot continues to heal, and I will continue to do both acupuncture AND my ultrasound treatments but, at this moment I can say, MY FOOT HAS NOT HURT ALL DAY AND THE DAY IS ALREADY HALF OVER. For me, that's a miracle. If I could turn handsprings, I would do so right down the street in front of my office. Since I can't turn handsprings, I think I'll just go for a walk. Sincerely, Jody Seay, Portland, Or. Rating: Jody Seay
