Just want to let you know that I've had a chance to use the Freeze Wrap. I fell down on my tail bone and injured it slightly. I put the Freeze Wrap on my behind every night while watching TV, and it seems to help it a lot. I alternate between the 2 ice packs, keeping one in the freezer at all times. Forearm pain can be cause from overuse.

Muscle strains are the most common soft tissue injury there is. Muscle strains occur simply because the tissues become overloaded; every tissue in the body is susceptible to strains, tears and full breaks. In general, and most commonly, chronic muscle tears directly result from pushing your body's limits. This may include poor flexibility or strength, muscle fatigue, an inadequate warm-up, and a history of muscle injury; where as an acute strain may result from direct trauma such as a fall or a hit sustained to the muscle.

Continued exertion on the muscle will quickly change a minor stretch into a major tear.

In the injuries initial stages it is important to reduce the swelling in the area and to control the pain as much as you can. The RCCE (Rest Cold Compression Elevation) method has long been a tried and true treatment for muscle pulls and other soft tissue injuries. The best way to heal is to reduce swelling; the RCCE method facilitates this as well as a quicker healing time
