Dear MendMeShop,

I had a diagnosis of a torn ligament in my right foot in July of 2010. After 10 weeks of twice weekly physical therapy, I had limited improvement. I started using your Ankle Achilles Inferno Wrap. You make a quality product and its continued use has restored my normal mobility. Your 1-800 telephone staff has provided outstanding support and service. Thank you for this wonderful healing technology. I will never be without my Inferno Wrap.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have owned the elbow Inferno Wrap for over a year now. I have had tennis elbow in both elbows for over 15 years. After any activity using either arm, both elbows ache...heavily. About 15 months ago, the tennis elbow got so bad in my left arm I had to finally go under the knife for torn tendons both in my elbow and my bicep. I could not even extend my arm while sleeping and the gym was a FAR fetched memory. The process from the first doctor’s appointment to the actual operating table took about 4 months. I was also told the recovery would be about 3 months and not fully recovered from the tears for a full year. I was informed that no matter what I did, I would always have this inflammation in my elbow and I needed something to give. Either my activity level, including the gym, would have to be cut down drastically, or I had to find a way to get the inflammation down. I am allergic to all anti-inflammatories and NSAIDS. This is where my researched turned up the Inferno Wrap. As you can imagine, I have tried all sorts of heating pads, cooling pads, ice therapy, and months of physical therapy. I believe I even found the Mend Me Shop and the Inferno Wrap while looking for something along the heating and cooling pad line. My immediate thought was why are these so expensive? What makes them so special? I have to say that initially, I took a chance because I had no other option for relief. The day the Inferno Wrap arrived, I knew I had something I had not had access to before. You can tell IMMEDIATELY tell after turning this on that is is working DEEP into the tissue. The wrap does get warm, but in NO WAY is this a heating pad. THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT PROVIDED AND CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ME RELIEF. I have not dialed down my activity level. When my elbows ache, the Inferno Wrap goes on, and within one 20 minute treatment, the ache is gone. Believe me when I say I have been looking for this for 15 years steady. I have since recommended to EVERYONE I know the Inferno Wrap, and have purchased one for my back, which works just as well, as expected. This is a product that works. This is a product that is backed by good customer service. This is a product that is worth EVERY PENNY. Knowing what I know now, buying the Inferno Wrap was no chance, but a miracle and nothing less.

Dear MendMeShop,

Just a quick note to say thanks for your products......even though it was I who purchased them, lol. I have been dealing with a small meniscus tear (left knee) for almost a year and a half and didn't want the surgery and the down time, crutches and also that I have stairs in my home and at my gym. I believe I have been useing your products for 3-4 weeks now and am really pleased with the results thus far. I am still taking stairs one at a time to reduce any impact on the knee and only do low impact cycling at the gym. It is my understanding that I should continue treatment for 4-6 months. Warm regards, David

Dear MendMeShop,

I had gone to 3 different doctors, with no results. So I decided to do something myself. Looked up on internet and ran across your information. Which covered everything and with the 2 month guarantee I thought it couldn't hurt to try. Boy, am I glad I did. My knee improved in a two weeks time. I wasn't able to use the wrap 3 times a day, but I did try. I could not believe the difference it made and how soon it healed. I had been using a cane. I'm back to normal. Thank you so much, Katherine

Dear MendMeShop,

A couple of years ago I helped my husband cut firewood on a hillside. I began to experience pain in my Achilles tendon shortly after we had finished getting all of the firewood cut, split and stacked. I limped through the winter and in the spring began to worry that I wouldn't be able to take care of my gardens. I finally went to the doctor and was prescribed physical therapy. The PT did help with the pain but didn't really "cure" the problem. I continued home physical therapy for another year and began to research therapies to help the tendon. I wanted to avoid surgery if possible. I came across the MendMeShop website and read about the products recommended for Achilles tendon. The cost seemed minimal compared to what I had already spent at the doctor and physical therapist. I ordered the Inferno Wrap and the Freezie Wrap for the ankle and used them according to the directions. I felt great pain relief and the flexibility in my Achilles returned within a few weeks of treatments. I have also been using a night splint following my last Inferno Wrap night treatment before retiring. With that regimen, I have been able to avoid a surgical tendon correction and have been able to resume my normal busy activities. Thank you MendMeShop for your great products and customer service follow-up of the shipment of products.

Heal Your Plantar! Combine
Cold Compression and
Blood Flow Stimulation Home Therapies!

The plantar, which literally means "bottom of the foot", is supported by a shock absorber called the fascia. Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of this connective tissue. Generally, plantar fasciitis affects athletes and people over 40 years of age. The stabbing pain, which gradually gets better throughout the day as the fascia stretches out, will affect your ability to work and be active. Most people will compensate for this by distributing their weight elsewhere on the foot which can put your knees, hips and back at risk.

Plantar Fasciitis Pain Pattern

Plantar fasciitis is caused by excessive wear and tear on the fascia, which means the condition is a repetitive strain injury (RSI). Every time your foot strikes the ground your plantar fascia is stretched, when your heel lifts off the ground your plantar fascia experiences tension. Any extra tension coming from excessive training can result in overstretching, inflammation and/or micro-tearing of the fascia at your heel, the weakest point.

Plantar fasciitis is considered a self-limiting condition, which means you can control the pain and the progression of the condition by making some simple changes to your lifestyle. For example, improper shoes such as high heels and training too hard too suddenly can put excessive strain on the plantar fascia. However, sometimes plantar fasciitis is related to other conditions like faulty foot mechanics such as being flat footed or having a high arch which affects the way you walk and run.

Other related conditions include arthritis, inflammation in the tendons in the bottom of your foot, heel spurs, and diabetes. There are higher occurrences of plantar fasciitis in those who have diabetes.

Treatments for plantar fasciitis are aimed at reducing inflammation, pain, increasing the fascia's range of motion, and speeding recovery time. A speedy and effective recovery should be your highest priority, not only so you can return to a high level of performance, but also because prolonged injuries can lead to scar tissue and a higher risk of re-injury.

At the onset of plantar fasciitis immediate measures should be taken in order to avoid serious damage. Ignoring the symptoms, thinking they will go away naturally, and continuing with activities that cause foot pain will certainly lead to more serious problems in the future. In order to avoid serious plantar injuries try to maintain a strict regimen of cold compression after walking or running.

I Could Feel Relief With The Inferno Wrap After One Use

I have been using the inferno wrap for about 3 weeks now and the results are outstanding. I could feel relief after the first use of the inferno wrap.

About 2 years ago the doctor told me I had plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. The heel of my feet hurt so badly, I could hardly walk. Getting out of bed in the mornings was pain beyond belief. I would hold on to the bed railings to take a step.

After going to the doctors and getting cortizone injections, ordering custom made insoles, exercises, taping my arch, and therapy, my feet were still hurting. I stopped the doctor visits for lack of relief. I was paying out so much money with no results. Not knowing what else to do, I prayed and asked God to show me what I could do to get releif.

I came across the mend me website and read the entire article on foot problems and the products. What it said made so much sense to me. I felt it would be the right thing for me.

I love the way it talks about the body and explain how it should work. What really drew me the most and encouraged me to order was: the site said your body was designed to heal itself.

I am a firm believer in organic healing and avoiding medication and surgery whenever possible. When I read about the blood flow I was sold on the product. I know that blood is the life of the body. When I wear the inferno wrap I don't want to take it off. It gives relief and warmth right where it hurts. I will be ordering other products for the feet as well.

Thanks for the information you give on each part of the body. I have referred your website to several people for different ailments.

MendMeShop Success Stories

Plantar Fasciitis is a painful and debilitating condition that can stop you in your tracks. But have hope, with Plantar Fasciitis treatments from MendMeShop®, and a few steps in the right direction you can successfully treat the pain and stop it from coming back. You have the right tools and the right information, now it's up to you to take action and get back on your feet again!

Plantar Fasciitis Treatments

Conservative treatments tend to be the best way to treat plantar fasciitis. However, it can take months to years to heal depending on your situation and commitment to treatment (6 weeks to 6 months or longer). To improve healing time and treat your pain naturally, cold compression therapy and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy are recommended.

Cold Compression Therapy

When you are experiencing pain, swelling, and inflammation in the bottom of your foot, doctors recommend cold compression therapy. Cold compression therapy reduces tissue damage caused by swelling and inflammation and treats your foot pain quickly.

Plantar Fasciitis Treatment with Cold Compression Wraps

Cold compression therapy works by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the damaged area. This is important because once blood vessels are damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood to the plantar fascia and tissue cells begin to break-down.

The Plantar/Spur Freezie Wrap® allows you to treat yourself in an effective and convenient way and the deep cold provided by the Plantar/Spur Freezie Wrap® slows cell function thereby reducing cellular break-down. Furthermore, because the cold wraps serve to numb the nerves, the wraps also reduce pain!

The cooling gel pack inside every Freezie Wrap® have been designed with ColdCure Technology®. The specially formulated gel allows the pack to be supercharged in the fridge, not in the freezer like ice or other freezer packs. The Freezie Wrap® gives you deep cold compression therapy without the risk of 'cold burns' or cryoburn to the layers of your skin. This unique technology, inside a soft and completely adjustable neoprene wrap, gives you comfortable, convenient, and effective cold compression therapy.

In addition, the specially designed foot wrap has an adjustable compression band so you can control the amount of pressure that feels good around your foot.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

Once inflammation and swelling have been reduced in your plantar fascia, nourishing and strengthening the tissue in your foot is the goal. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) promotes blood flow to the treatment area bringing the necessary oxygen and nutrients to your plantar fascia and other weakened tissue. BFST® speeds up the body's natural repair process for faster healing and stronger tissue.

MendMeShop Inferno Wrap and how it works.

Extremities of the body, like the foot, do not receive much blood flow naturally and when you stop moving your foot because it hurts, you are not creating the natural blood flow it usually receives. With the use of Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy you can increase your body's blood supply to the plantar fascia.

In addition, the fresh blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins (including lactic acid, commonly found in trigger points) that have built up from the injury leaving the area clean and better prepared for healing. Our Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap® provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief with no side effects.

Keeping your planter fascia and foot as healthy and strong as possible throughout the healing process will allow you to get back to your regular activities faster. The Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap®, available exclusively from MendMeShop®, provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

The benefits of BFST® do not end once your foot pain stops! Even when your plantar fascia has healed, your activities can put it at risk of an overuse injury, tightness, or another tear. An Inferno Wrap® treatment before activity is an easy way to warm up the tissues and prepare them for use. Then, end your day with another treatment to prevent tightness from setting in overnight. This incredible healing tool will be the ticket to healthy feet for years to come!

How to Order

During your recovery, you will probably have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your foot until your pain and inflammation settle. With these easy-to-use, home therapies you will notice great improvement within a few weeks, with most patients seeing some improvement quickly. The more diligent you are with your treatment and rehabilitation, the faster you will see successful results. If you start using your plantar fascia before it has a chance to heal properly (even though it may feel better), you can end up doing a lot more damage than good!

Night Splints
Promote faster healing with Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint with tread

Wearing a night splint to treat your plantar fasciitis allows you to begin your day in significantly less pain and heals your inflamed fascia ligament faster.

Promote faster healing with Plantar Fasciitis Dorsal Night Splint

Night splints are designed to maintain a gentle stretch of the plantar fascia while you sleep. Your ankle is stabilized at an angle that prevents the fascia ligament from becoming taut as you relax your foot throughout the night. As a result, you will no longer go through the painful process of restretching the fascia ligament in the morning.

Preventing the fascia from becoming taut as you sleep alleviates the painful mornings all too familiar to plantar fasciitis sufferers and accelerates the healing process. Our lightweight, padded, low-profile Dorsal Night Splint and Night Splint with Tread will give you the stretch you need while you sleep comfortably and heal your pain.

Stretching to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis Pain

Stretching will help to alleviate tightness in your foot, lower leg and hamstring muscles.

The calf muscles are made up of several muscles which serve to plantar flex the foot. These include the gastrocnemius, the soleus, and the plantaris muscles. When these muscles are tight they can contribute to the development of plantar fasciitis. Stretching of these muscles can reduce the symptoms. Consult your doctor to discuss which stretches work best for you.

There are several techniques which include:

  • A lunge with one foot while leaving the heel of the other foot planted on the ground. Leaning into the lunge will stretch the calf muscle of the back leg. Do not bounce as you stretch as this may cause tendon damage. A nice, steady stretch held for 30-60 seconds will give you the desired results. You should stretch both legs even if only one side is bothering you. This should be repeated several times per day.

  • A very simple stretch to get started can be done by standing with the feet at shoulder width. Go into a full squat with your knees bent all of the way. While in this full squatting position your can lean forward and you should feel the stretch in your calf muscles and your feet. You may support yourself with your hands if you feel like you are having trouble keeping your balance. Throughout the stretch you should push your heels toward the ground as you lean forward. This is a good stretch of your soleus muscle.

  • Another stretch that will help starts with you putting your toes on a step and your heel on the floor below. Lean into this foot and you will feel a stretch in your calf muscles and foot. This stretch primarily focuses on the gastrocnemius muscle when you keep the knee straight.

  • You may also consider stretching the gluteal muscles and hamstrings. This is because they, along with the calf muscles share the same fascial plane and kinetic chain. Releasing tension in these muscles and the fascia that surrounds them through stretching, will take tension off of the plantar fascia as well.

  • One of the most important times to stretch is in the morning. People with plantar fasciitis know that this is the most painful time. The reason is that the feet naturally plantar flex when we lay down to sleep. Over eight hours of plantarflexion the plantar fascia becomes taut again. This makes the first steps of morning particularly painful. Stretching before these first steps has been shown to alleviate this problem in 72% of people.(1)

  • A night splint is a very effective device that maintains a stretch in the plantar fascia throughout the night. Preventing the fascia from becoming taut as you sleep alleviates the painful mornings all too familiar to plantar fasciitis sufferers and accelerates your healing. Our lightweight, padded, low-profile Dorsal Night Splint and Night Splint With Tread will give you the stretch you need while you sleep comfortably and will allow you to awaken pain free

  • Consistent stretching of the posterior leg muscles including the calf muscles, gluteal muscles and hamstrings can be very beneficial. That is why it is one of the treatments of choice for therapists, doctors and athletic trainers.

Success

Physical therapy will help to improve pain in tissues and restore your weakened muscles through use of ultrasound, muscle stimulation or extracorporeal shockwave therapy and will provide you with a customized exercise program.

Chiropractic care, deep massage, reflexology and acupressure have also shown to be effective in relieving tension, strengthening your foot and helping with alignment.

Dear MendMeShop,

I started playing tennis again at least 3x a week a couple weeks ago. I'm use the inferno wrap mornings and nights and if I have time - the middle of the day. My foot is continuing to feel better and better. The morning after tennis I have a little soreness but very slight. It is the best my foot as felt in the last year. After trying everything to get rid of my fasciitis, (exercises, ice, stretching every day and wearing a splint) for months, I finally feel my foot will be completely healed. I stopped wearing the night splint a couple weeks ago. I still stretch my foot at least once in the morning but have stopped all the other exercises. I ice after tennis also. I am very happy with the results I've had since using the Inferno Wrap. I began using it April 27th and noticed results after using it the first week. My foot has continued to heal more and more. And being able to play tennis 3-4x a week with no pain after is wonderful. The wrap was worth it for the good results I'm having.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have been using the Freeze Wraps to reduce the inflammation, for which they worked great. Last week was the first time I tried the Infernowrap on my right knee and it seems to help just from one treatment. I plan to use it every night when I get back from work. I used the knee Inferno wrap again last night and put it on the medium power and it’s helping tremendously. I’m able to bend my knee better and walk with more stability without leaning too much on my left knee to compensate for the injured knee.
