Dear MendMeShop,

I am out there shooting the best scores of the season. I hurt my wrist, put you wrist Inferno wrap and the next marking period, 2 weeks, I was back to a 6 handicapper vs the 9 handicapper I was when I was hurt. I lent it to my director of golf that jammed his wrist. He was in serious pain. I gave him my wrist Inferno and in one day he was back to being a scratch golfer. It's the best therapy and the only one I WILL use from now on. I also have the shoulder Inferno. I had issues and guess what? No more issues! No surgery that was recommended to me because of you guys, period, like we say in NY. Awesome product thank you.

Dear MendMeShop,

I love the freezie wraps, and use them for hip pain. They work well at night to take away most of the bursitis like pain. The Mend Me shop has provided excellent advice and treatment protocol which has been invaluable.

Dear MendMeShop,

I've used both the Knee Inferno Wrap and the Freezie Wrap. The Freezee wrap has been of most help in reducing inflammation and pain. The doctor discovered a torn meniscus via MRI, and subsequent x-rays show significant arthritis, so it's going to be a total knee replacement situation. I anticipate using your products during recovery after surgery. Thanks very much.

Dear MendMeShop,

I've been meaning to write a review for a while... The knee Inferno Wrap did a lot to help me and actually got me back to walking normally. Prior to the Inferno, I was limping really bad to the point where I probably should have gotten crutches or a wheelchair because of the pain. Though I do walk normally, I still have issues with my knee and in some rare instances. I've just started thinking about doing minor exercises to keep in shape. I do want to say thank you for the Inferno and what your company has created as a substitute for surgery for me. I was injured in September, and started using the wrap that same month, By the beginning of November I felt so much better it was incredible. I doubt my knee is completely healed but it is a definite improvement.

Heel Spurs Causes

Since a heel spur and plantar fasciitis can occur alone or be related to one another, the causes are very similar. Being aware of the causes and elminating or fixing any problems will reduce your risk of getting a heel spur. Some of the causes are:

Overuse of the your feet can cause problems.

Overuse and Overloading the Fascia

Your plantar fascia is only able to stretch to 102% of its length without tearing; therefore it doesn't have much flexibility when exposed to excessive weight or heel pounding. Because of this, the main cause of plantar fasciitis is from overuse and overloading in occupations where you are on your feet all day (teachers, store clerks, soldiers, waitresses, hostesses), activities that require you to push heavy items (shippers and receivers, construction workers) and/or sporting activities in which you overexert yourself (doing too much, too fast and/or too soon), especially running, football, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, step-aerobics, stair climbing, dancing.

Poor Body Structure or Mechanics

Faulty foot structures (abnormal growths, different leg lengths, and unhealed injuries) and muscle imbalances (tight, weak or shortened muscles in your foot, ankle, calf and hamstring) can cause you to walk on your toes which increases the strain on your plantar fascia and the muscles on the sole of your foot (flexor digitorum brevis and quadratus plantae).

Over pronation can cause imbalance in foot mechanics which puts excess pressure on the plantar fascia.

Poor biomechanics affect the way your foot hits the ground. If you overpronate (feet roll inward) you tend to have flat feet (pes planus), which increases pressure on your plantar fascia. If you underpronate (feet roll outward) you tend to have rigid feet and a high arch (pes cavus), which results in a shortened plantar fascia.

Improper Footware

Improper footware can cause heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.

Regular shoes or high heels that are too tight or don't support your heel or arch affect the distribution of your body weight on your foot and add undue stress to your plantar fascia and back of your heel. This causes a lot of rubbing and pressure points on your foot.

Other Health Conditions

Health conditions such as obesity, inflammatory diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis), bursitis, neuroma (nerve growths), gout, diabetes, Haglund's deformity, and Achilles tendinitis can also instigate the problem.

Heel Spur Treatments

Conservative treatments tend to be the best way to treat heel spur inflammation and plantar fasciitis. To improve healing time and treat your pain naturally, cold compression therapy and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy are recommended.

Although you can not get rid of the spur with home treatments, you can treat the tissue around it to reduce the inflammation and pain. For sharper spurs that consistently irritate the heel tissue, surgery may be required to remove it. But regardless of whether you will need surgery, proper treatments at home can reduce damage, pain, and inflammation and allow you to carry on with your activities.

Cold Compression Therapy

When you are experiencing pain, swelling, and inflammation in your heel and at the bottom of your foot, doctors recommend cold compression therapy. Cold compression therapy reduces tissue damage caused by swelling and inflammation and treats your foot pain quickly.

Plantar Fasciitis Treatment with Cold Compression Wraps

Cold compression therapy works by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the damaged area. This is important because once blood vessels are damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood to the plantar fascia and tissue cells begin to break-down.

The Plantar/Spur Freezie Wrap® allows you to treat yourself in an effective and convenient way and the deep cold provided by the Plantar/Spur Freezie Wrap® slows cell function thereby reducing cellular break-down. Furthermore, because the cold wraps serve to numb the nerves, the wraps also reduce pain!

The cooling gel pack inside every Freezie Wrap® have been designed with ColdCure Technology®. The specially formulated gel allows the pack to be supercharged in the fridge, not in the freezer like ice or other freezer packs. The Freezie Wrap® gives you deep cold compression therapy without the risk of 'cold burns' or cryoburn to the layers of your skin. This unique technology, inside a soft and completely adjustable neoprene wrap, gives you comfortable, convenient, and effective cold compression therapy.

In addition, the specially designed foot wrap has an adjustable compression band so you can control the amount of pressure that feels good around your foot.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

Once inflammation and swelling have been reduced in your heel and plantar fascia, nourishing and strengthening the tissue in your foot is the goal. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) promotes blood flow to the treatment area bringing the necessary oxygen and nutrients to your plantar fascia and other weakened tissue. BFST® speeds up the body's natural repair process for faster healing and stronger tissue.

MendMeShop Inferno Wrap and how it works.

Extremities of the body, like the foot, do not receive much blood flow naturally and when you stop moving your foot because it hurts, you are not creating the natural blood flow it usually receives. With the use of Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy you can increase your body's blood supply to the plantar fascia.

In addition, the fresh blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins (including lactic acid, commonly found in trigger points) that have built up from the injury leaving the area clean and better prepared for healing. Our Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap® provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief with no side effects.

Keeping your planter fascia and foot as healthy and strong as possible throughout the healing process will allow you to get back to your regular activities faster. The Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap®, available exclusively from MendMeShop®, provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

The benefits of BFST® do not end once your foot pain stops! Even when your foot has healed, your activities can put it at risk of an overuse injury, tightness, or another tear. An Inferno Wrap® treatment before activity is an easy way to warm up the tissues and prepare them for use. Then, end your day with another treatment to prevent tightness from setting in overnight. This incredible healing tool will be the ticket to healthy feet for years to come!

How to Order

During your recovery, you will probably have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your foot until your pain and inflammation settle. With these easy-to-use therapies you will notice great improvement within a few weeks, with most patients seeing some improvement quickly. The more diligent you are with your treatment and rehabilitation, the faster you will see successful results. If you start using your foot before it has a chance to heal properly (even though it may feel better), you can end up doing a lot more damage than good!

Dear MendMeShop,

Hi Paul. I thank you for your personal follow up. I have bought several of your products and I will tell you right now the Inferno Wraps are the BEST. I was in a walking boot last December for what was diagnosed as moderately severe tendonosis. Surgery was recommended. Instead I gave it time and started using the Freezie Wrap and the Inferno Wrap. After consistent and continued use of the Inferno Wrap I am 100% good to go! Your products are the best! Walker S

Dear MendMeShop,

My husband, who is in his 50's was feeling pain in his Achilles on one foot. He kept walking on it till it became inflamed and impossible to walk on. My husband sought out help from our Chiropractor, the treatments were very expensive and he could only get one a day. He couldn't walk on it at all. Just moving any part of his body caused him great pain. Going to see anyone would prove unworkable. I couldn't get him in the car as he could not even move his leg. I researched Achilles tendon injury on line. I found an article about the Inferno Wrap. The cost would be far less than trips to the Doctor. It was only a matter of days before he was able to get out of bed once we started the treatments as recommended. It was a week and he was off the crutches. He was able to get back to work after three weeks. He still uses the inferno boot when his Achilles feels sore. I am very grateful for your products and highly recommend them.
